Adventure Group
In partnership with our wonderful local community group, Pals of the Privies, we have the joy of hosting a group of 7 to 12-year-olds once a week after school during the winter months. While the kids are able to explore and enjoy the great outdoors in the warmer, sunnier summer months, the colder, darker winter season invites a shift in focus. During this time, we bring the children inside to work on a variety of creative projects for the house.
Throughout the winter, we collaborate with the kids on a range of fun and imaginative activities, helping them develop new skills and express their creativity. Whether it’s crafting seasonal decorations, building small functional art pieces, or experimenting with different materials like wood, clay, and fabric, the projects are always diverse and hands-on. The children not only get to contribute to the aesthetic of the house, but they also experience the joy of teamwork, craftsmanship, and the satisfaction of seeing their creations come to life. It’s a time of growth, learning, and community, as we come together to create something special while staying warm and creative through the colder months.
