Dye Garden Socials 2023

The First Series of Dye Garden Socials took place over six months in 2023 as part of our pilot year for the Dye Garden project, curated by Textile Artist and Designer in Residence, Laura Spring.

This series of free monthly events combined talks, discussions, and hands-on workshops, all designed to inspire, educate, and inform audiences about sustainable textiles and working with nature. Each guest was invited for their expertise and contribution to the field of natural dyeing and sustainable textile practices. The programme featured makers, artists, and educators who are exploring innovative ways to work with plant-based materials, promote environmentally conscious methods, and share knowledge with both the local community and wider creative networks.
