Stack It!

Stack It! was a dynamic two-day sculpture workshop hosted by the Sculpture House Collective at Paisley Art Centre, in collaboration with OneRen, as part of their summer creative workshops for children. The workshop invited the kids to explore the fascinating world of stacking in sculpture, drawing inspiration from iconic artists like Urs Fischer and Constantin Brancusi, who have masterfully used stacking as a technique in their work.

Throughout the workshop, the children had the chance to experiment with a variety of materials and creative processes, including casting, to build their own totemic sculptures. Each child brought their own unique vision to life, stacking elements in playful and inventive ways. At the end of the two days, they proudly took home their one-of-a-kind creations, ready to display them in their homes as a reminder of their artistic journey.

It was a fun and enriching experience, allowing the children to engage with art history, develop new skills, and, of course, express their creativity through hands-on sculpture-making!
