House Meeting #1

House Meeting is the first in a new series of mixed-agenda gatherings at Sculpture House, designed to open up the art world through networking, skill-sharing, connection, and creation. Produced by artists Megan Devenney, Katie Bruce, and Luke Shand, the series brings together artists and audiences in an open, experimental format.

The inaugural House Meeting featured a tour of Sculpture House led by our resident artists, who shared the history of the space and their interconnected practices. This was followed by a hands-on collage workshop with Jupiter+ resident Luke Shand, where participants worked with found materials to make their own art objects. The evening closed with a film screening by photographer Hannah Turner, whose work explores identity, place, and collective memory.

Each House Meeting will bring together different voices, practices, and approaches, creating opportunities for dialogue, collaboration, and shared making. It’s about coming together to learn from one another, exchange ideas, and experience the richness of creative practice in an inclusive and welcoming setting.
