Light On Time

Margot Samel (New York) and Kendall Koppe (Glasgow) have come together to present Light on Time, Laura Aldridge’s third solo exhibition with Kendall Koppe. The show embodies a spirit of exchange and collaboration, extending the conversation between artists and galleries across cities and contexts.

On view at Margot Samel, New York, the exhibition brings together a new body of work developed and made at Sculpture House, alongside earlier light-based sculptures first shown at Jupiter Artland in 2024. Using glass, wood, fabric, and light, Laura continues her explorations into how materials can hold colour, capture time, and shape experiences.

The works in Light on Time reflect Laura’s ongoing interest in the meeting point between the functional and the poetic. By combining processes of collaboration with traditional techniques such as glassblowing and woodworking, she creates sculptures that feel both grounded and open-ended — offering spaces for reflection, play, and encounter.
