Kate V. Robertson: Patricia Flemming, Glasgow, 12th April to 24th May 2025
This two person exhibition explored sculpture as a lens for associative meaning. Kates pieces played with tension, illusion, and technological systems, acting as conversational objects that question the “truthful” fabrication of our world.
At first glance, the exhibition presented traditional sculptural forms – bronzes on plinths, wall reliefs, and compartmental installations – but Robertson’s work emphasized pictorial depth and juxtaposition, highlighting the expanded dimensions of sculpture in an increasingly screen-based world.
