Winter Social 2025
The annual Winter Social transformed Sculpture House into a vibrant exhibition space, with over one hundred artworks on display throughout the house. Visitors were welcomed into a festive, creative environment, with the Dye Gardeners group decorating the rooms with homemade wreaths and foliage dyed in their fortnightly workshops.
School groups also showcased their work, including drawings and sculptures from Glencoats and St Fergus Primary Schools, as well as pieces created as part of workshops with the Dye Garden, where children learned to grow, harvest, and process plant materials for natural dyeing.
David Milne, from our Making Space programme, presented a new body of functional ceramic sculptures in the form of mirrors, while Sculpture House Artist Nick Evans exhibited a sculptural light work alongside the children’s work in our front room.
The Winter Social attracted visitors from near and far, with young artists excited to see their creations included in a professional exhibition. The evening was a joyful celebration of creativity at all ages and stages, bringing together our community and showcasing the inspiring range of projects happening at Sculpture House.
