As part of Collective Architecture’s Burns Road housing development in Cumbernauld we were commissioned to remake a Brian Miller Sculpture. Miller was Cumbernauld’s town artist in the 1960s, 70s and 80s and this work was originally made in concrete and sited in the foyer of a residential block. Before the demolition of the building in which the work was sited, moulds of the sculpture were taken by the artist Neville Rae. We worked with these moulds to breath new life into the sculpture which was repositioned by the architects on a glazed brick retaining wall.
