Dye Garden

Sculpture House resident Laura Spring is developing a dye garden in the front of Sculpture House with the support of designer/anthropologist Dr Charlotte Linton and Sculpture House artist Laura Aldridge. Working with local schoolchildren and residents Spring will be growing plants in raised beds that can be used for printing and dyeing textiles. From May 2023, the garden will host a regular, fortnightly workshop for the local community as well as a programme of events and talks. The garden will be used to research and educate with longer term planting and landscape regeneration providing dye materials for Laura and the community’s future use in her textile studio.

If you would like to find out more or become involved please do get in touch. You can visit Laura’s blog page for the Dye Garden here
